Saturday's in the South

Gamedays are basically holidays in Columbia - everyone is always looking forward to some good ole Carolina Football. Even though the gamecocks are not the best team this year, gamecock fans are always the best. The best time of the year is coming to a close, but if you are luckier than me, your team might have a few more games in their future. Here is my little Game Day Guide:

  •  Some kind of boots: Whether its cowboy boots, booties, or over-the-knee boots, they match almost every outfit and protect your feet from all the mess and rocks you face during tailgates (plus it does not hurt that bad when someone steps on you at the game)!
  • Small Satchel: At Willy B, the only purse you can bring in has to be tiny or clear. As annoying as this is, I found the perfect game-day bag at Francesca's. It is the iconic Gamecock garnet and the strap makes it easy to carry whatever way I want (+ it fits way more than you think you would even need)!
  • Portable Charger: This one is pretty self explanatory. From taking a bunch of snapchats, to calling your friends trying to find them, or GPSing to the stadium (because its your 4th game and you still do not know how to get around... #freshmanprobs), your phone will most likely die before you even get into the game.
  • Pins/Face Tats: These are such a fun and spirited way to show your love for your team, and they are super easy to apply and will match everything!
  • Water: Even though it is November, it is still very hot here in the armpit of the south, and it is so important to stay hydrated. Not every tailgate will have enough water for everyone, so its smart to carry your own!

  • Here are some of my favorites that I have worn this season:
Top & Pants: Dress Up; Booties: Old Navy
Jacket & dress: Dress Up
Dress: Entourage; Necklace: Madewell
Sweater: Gap; Skirt: Abercrombie & Fitch; Boots: Target; Earrings: Kendra Scott

What are your game day essentials and favorite outfits to rep your team?
